"What FFA Means to me!" Grant video submissions due October 31st
The Booster Club offers scholarships to graduating Weatherford High School FFA seniors pursuing higher education at an accredited university, college, trade, or technical school. Scholarships are awarded at the FFA Banquet and paid directly to the institution.
1. The applicant must be an active, enrolled member in Weatherford High School FFA.
2. The applicant must have been an active member in Weatherford FFA for the past two consecutive
years.
3. The applicant must be a graduating high school senior.
4. The applicant must plan to attend an accredited institution of higher learning: university,
community college, trade school or technical school in the Fall and enroll for a minimum of twelve
hours.
5. The parent of the applicant must be an active member of the Friends of the Weatherford FFA Booster
Club for the year applicant is applying.
6. The applicant must volunteer at least 4 hours toward any event the booster club hosts.
1. One completed application. No partial or incomplete application packets will be accepted. Complete
applications must be submitted by the deadline set, date and time, by the Friends of the Weatherford
FFA Booster Club. No Exceptions.
2. Weatherford FFA AET record.
3. (Sealed) Official High School Transcript.
4. ACT/SAT scores (if not on transcript) or show acceptance to a trade/technical school (if applicable-
COVID may restrict this for 2020-2021 school year).
5. Two letters of recommendation. Letters written by family members or Ag teachers will not be accepted.
All letters must have a signature across a sealed envelope as well as the contact information for the
individual writing the letter.
6. One essay, 500-1000 words, addressing the following topic: “How being a member of FFA has impacted
your high school experience and given direction to your future plans?”
7. Application must be endorsed by a current Weatherford FFA Advisor.
8. The judging committee will consist of two agriculture teachers and another individual picked by the
FOWFFA committee. Once four applicants are chosen they will be contacted to set up an interview.
